"The Unforgettable Encounter: A Tale of First Love and Unconventional Proposals" (Part- 1)
As I reminisce about my 17th year, I am transported back to a time when life was simpler, yet more unpredictable. It was my first day at a new coaching center, and I was excited to meet new people and learn new things. Little did I know that this new chapter would bring with it an unforgettable encounter that would leave me speechless and bewildered.
As I entered the coaching center, I was greeted by the familiar sight of students engrossed in their studies. I took my seat, trying to blend in, but my eyes couldn't help but wander. That's when I saw him – a senior from another class, who seemed to be staring right through me. I avoided eye contact, thinking nothing of it, but little did I know that this was only the beginning.
Days turned into weeks and weeks into months, and the senior’s gaze became a regular occurrence. I would catch him staring at me,, and I would quickly look away, unsure of how to react. It wasn’t until he approached my classmate, asking about me, he asked “who is that girl in your class in the pink dress,I want to talk to her about something once." Then my classmate realized the extent of his interest.
My classmate, with a mischievous grin, informed me that the senior wanted to talk to me. I was taken aback, unsure of what to expect. But, being the curious and adventurous soul that I am, I agreed to listen to what he had to say.
The day of the meeting arrived, and I must admit, I was a mix of emotions – excitement, nervousness, and a hint of skepticism. As we met, the senior, with a determined look on his face, confessed his feelings. "I like you," he said, his voice trembling with emotion.
I was taken aback, unsure of how to respond. But, being the quick-witted and sarcastic person that I am, I replied, "First of all, come with a cycle because I don't like bikes." I know, I know, it was a ridiculous response, but hey, I was 17, and I didn't know better! 😂
To my surprise, the senior took my response seriously and showed up the next day on a borrowed cycle. I was a little impressed , not by the cycle, but by his determination and willingness to take a chance.
As we stood there, facing each other, I realized that this was more than just a silly proposal. This was about taking a chance, being vulnerable, and embracing the unknown.
So, I asked him, "Then what can I do?" And, with a smile that could light up a room, he replied, "Just say yes."
In that moment, I knew that I had to take a chance. I had to say yes, not just to him, but to the possibility of something new, something exciting, and something that could potentially change my life forever (But guys, remember I haven’t said YES yet.🤪)
Although it’s an incomplete story, I’ll complete it in the next part.
As I look back on that unforgettable encounter, What would have happened if I had said 'yes' or 'no’?. It’s a lesson that has stayed with me to this day, and one that I will always cherish.
So, the next time you’re faced with an unconventional proposal or an unexpected opportunity, remember to take a chance, be vulnerable, and think to say yes to the possibility of something new and exciting.
As the great poet, Rumi, once said, "The wound is the place where the light enters you." 🌟
In other words, it's often the unexpected and unconventional encounters that lead to growth, learning, and transformation.
So, I leave you with a question: What would you do if you were faced with an unforgettable encounter? Would you take a chance, or would you play it safe? 🤔
The choice is yours, but remember, it's often the unexpected encounters that lead to the most unforgettable experiences. 😉
