We shouldn’t Solely rely on our Fortune
I Think Fortune Favors the Bold

"Your destiny is not written in the stars, but in the sweat of your brow."
Hey there, friends!
As humans, we've all been guilty of blaming our fortunes (or lack thereof) for the outcomes of our endeavors. I know I have! But is it really just about being lucky or unlucky? Or is there more to it?
Let me share a personal experience that changed my perspective on this.
A Lesson from My Father —
Growing up, my father would often say, "Beta, kismat ke bina kuch nahi hota" ("Nothing happens without fate"). I'd nod along, but deep down, I was skeptical. Was it really just about fate?
One day, I was stressing about an upcoming board exam as it was going to be totally new experience for me. I had studied hard, but I was still anxious about the outcome. My father noticed my worry and sat me down for a chat.
"Beta, you've studied well, but are you relying too much on your fate?" he asked.
I looked at him quizzically. "What do you mean, Papa?"
"Well, if you think that fate alone will decide your exam results, then you're not giving yourself enough credit. Your hard work and dedication are what will truly make the difference."
His words struck a chord. I realized that I had been giving fate too much importance.
The Power of Hardwork —
We've all heard the saying, "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." It's so true!
Take the example of Thomas Edison, who invented the light bulb. He's famously quoted as saying, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."
Edison's perseverance and hard work ultimately led to his success. It wasn't just about being lucky or having good fortune.
So, the next time you're tempted to blame your fate for something not going your way, remember Edison's story.
Relying on Fortune: A Cop-Out?
Let's face it – relying solely on fortune can be a cop-out. It's easier to blame our circumstances or fate rather than taking responsibility for our actions.
But what if we flipped this mindset on its head? What if we focused on putting in the effort and hard work required to achieve our goals?
Imagine the sense of accomplishment and pride you'd feel when you achieve something through your own efforts!
A Balancing Act —
Now, I'm not saying that fortune doesn't play a role in our lives. Of course, it does!
But here's the thing: we can't control our fortune, but we can control our hard work and dedication.
So, instead of relying solely on fortune, let's strive for a balance between the two. Let's put in the effort required to achieve our goals and then trust that our fortune will follow.
What's Your Take?
Do you think fortune plays a bigger role in our lives than hard work? Or do you believe that hard work is the key to success?
Share your thoughts in the comments below!
In conclusion, while fortune may play a role in our lives, it’s our hard work and dedication that truly make the difference.
So, the next time you're faced with a challenge or setback, remember that your fortune is not the only factor at play. Your hard work and perseverance can overcome even the toughest obstacles.
Keep pushing forward, friends!
